Education Technology Staff Development Program Grades 4-8 - Qualified schools can obtain up to 20 Dollars per student for technology staff development. 

Community Technology Centers- The Department of Education  offers grants to programs in urban and economically disadvantaged settings that provide innovative methods of technology education to students and the community.

Preparing Tomorrow’s Teachers to Use Technology Program- The Department of Education makes competitive grants to consortia, particularly schools in low-income communities or rural areas,.that are preparing future teachers to become proficient in the use of modern learning technologies.

Target Education-  The target stores are providing funds for "deserving" schools, as well as offering volunteers, fundraising assistance, uniform discounts, and more.

National Foundation for the Improvement of Education- Michael Jordan, the JORDAN Brand, and NFIE are teaming up to provide grants for secondary school teachers who are helping underserved students to succeed at school and in life. Grant guidelines are now available.

GTE- GTE contributes several grants to educational facilities. Their focus is on education, where they help prepare future generations for the world of work and a bright technological future.

National Science Teachers Association- This organization offers grant so k-12 science teachers for innovative science projects.

Toyota Tapestry Grants for Teachers- Toyota offers grants
to K–12 science teachers. Grants are given to innovative projects that enhance science education in the school and/or school district. Grant applications are due mid January.

NSTA Award- This award is given to an elementary science teacher who has demonstrated exemplary earth science (specifically environmental or geology) teaching practices in one or more of the following areas: innovative design and use of hands-on earth science materials; creative design and implementation of earth science lesson plans/curriculum.

Knight Foundation- Grants are offered for programs in education, journalism and the arts, but the best part may be the downloadable  sample proposal that grant seekers may use as an example.

National Geographic- K-12 Grants- The Education Foundation provides a permanent and expanding source of financial support for exemplary geography education programs.

Unsung Heroes Awards- Northern Life insurance will award $25K to an innovative teachers. Submit someone you know.

FY1999 Workshops for Grant Applicants- Visitors will find applicant information, questions and answers related to the   Department of Education's various grant initiatives. Bibliographies contain research publications supporting the grant initiatives that can be useful for any grant writer!

Schools and Libraries Corporation- The SLC is a non-profit organization given the authority to administer the e-rate program for the U.S. schools and libraries. This is the place to find information about tech planning, obtain and complete the necessary e-rate forms, and find the status of your submitted proposal.

E-Rate Hotline- Lots of information regarding the government's e-rate discount to schools is found here.

School PC- Affiliated with Family PC magazine, this Site  is designed for parents, teachers, administrators, and anyone who's interested in integrating technology into the classroom. It brings you news, hands-on activities, and a place to share the best ideas in education. Qualified teachers can submit applications for $5000.

Grants and Other People's Money- This site concentrates on grants that focus on science, math, engineering, and educational technology. They have a large database organized by due date. This is a good one!

Eduplace Funding and Grants - This organization has have gathered excellent resources to help guide educators through the grant writing process. From tips to writing grants, to lists of foundations, they have it all!

LAUSD Division of Instructional Services- Here is a great reference for finding educational grants, information about proposal writing and project development. It contains assorted information  including resource links, Early Literacy Training, and School to Career.  The site contains some valuable information regarding programs that the LAUSD in involved with. It is a great resource for teachers!

Computers for Learning- This is the largerst U.S. Fedral computer donation program, providing over 500,000 used 286/386/486/ PC's annually. Apply online.

EastWest Foundation- This organization sells 486 and 586 computer systems to schools at a slight discount.

Computing EDGE- Computing EDGE helps match needy schools with excess, unused or obsolete computer equipment donated by individuals and corporations.

National Cristina Foundation- Obsolete computers are donated  to help train people with disabilities, students at risk and the economically disadvantaged to become competitive in today's world.

National Directory of Computer Recycling Programs- This is a State, National and International Directory of agencies  that facilitate donations of used computer hardware
