A to Z Kidstuff- Organized by subject, this site contains lessons and activities for elementary and pre-school students.

Lesson Plans and Units-Core Knowledge- Organized by grades Pre-Kng-8, this site has lessons and units demonstrated at conferences. 

Lesson Plans- Listed by grade levels and theme units, here are concise cross-grade tutoring lesson plans, multiple intelligences lesson plans, cooperative learning, and software integrated lesson plans.

Eplay Lesson Plans- Here are some great elementary and middle school cross-curricular lesson plans designed to teach social studies.

Lesson Stop Newsletter- Subscribe for the bimonthly newsletter containing lessons by subject or just access the tons of lessons and links to lesson sites, all organized by topic. Educators can find links to sites that model and investigate good plan writing. 

Deja News- This is the place to search for currently posted messages from all of the newsgroups. Type in a topic and access the discussions.

Student's Guide to the WWW- This is a collection of upper level links for high school and older students, organized by topic.

EduStation- Disney offers this collection of cyber lessons and teacher tested activities.

World Book Teacher Resource Center- Teachers can find lessons and activities related to a variety of topics found in the encyclopedia. Each area contains some project developing questions. 

Brittanica- The makers of the encyclopedia harness the riches of the Internet, categorize them for your use, rates and reviews them, and offer them through a searchable database here.

Miss Peacock's Webpage- Here are tons of great educational links organized by subject. She also has collections specifically for "little guys" young children.

Teaching and Learning on the WWW- Here is a searchable database organized by subject. It contains links to sites that tend to be designed for high school students.

Gander's Academy- Theme related resources on the WWW can by found on this excellent, well organized and complete Website. Links to great Sites, organized by subject,  provide elementary students with safe and useful projects.

Public Schools of North Carolina- Computer Skills Lesson Plans- Here are lessons, organized by grade level, that can be used for staff development, also. Find lessons on keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, telecomputing and special templates for MS Works and ClarisWorks. This Site offers great lessons integrating technology with curricular subjects. Information Skills Curriculum contains more lessons.

SCR-TEC- This Site is unbelievably complete. It is a full educational resource that also contains lots of lessons organized by subject. If you want general lessons and lessons designed for the WWW, click on TrackStar and go.

Global School House's Link O' Rama- This is a searchable database of links that are organized by topic.

CNN Newsroom- Upper elementary through high school teachers can get free lesson guides that go along with CNN multiseries topics. Archived lessons and films are available, also

Webquests- Here are lessons, organized by subject, produced by teachers,  that integrate the WWW and learning. A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented activity in which most or all of the information used by learners is drawn from the Web. WebQuests are designed to use learners' time well, to focus on using information rather than looking for it, and to support learners' thinking at the levels of analysis, synthesis and evaluation.

Websites and Resources for Teachers- CSUN has collected sites and resources from the Internet for teachers to use in their classrooms. There is also a special category for children called "Just for Kids". These sites are entertaining, useful, informative, and fun. They range from lesson plans, creative classroom projects, interactive activities, visits to museums, and trips around the U.S.A. and other countries.

Homework Central - The biggest study site on the Internet boast over 400,000 educational links organized by subject and grade level!

Power School- This homework help index contains links organized by subject and grade level.

Web and Technology Integration Resources- Homework Central presents this list of links organized by topics including Classroom Technology Guides, Web Publishing, AUP's, Technology Organizations, Projects, and more. 

Teachers at Work This is a giant website that has a searchable database of more than 1500 sites related to education, categorized by educational topics. The top ten listings area has really interesting subjects! The links have descriptions and are rated for effectiveness and age level appropriateness. 

Ed's OasisED's Oasis Teacher's Guide provides links to what educators around the country recommend as the most engaging student-centered web sites. Find website evaluation guidelines and criteria.

Encyclozine- Here are links to topics in education, the arts, humanities, science, and technology. Have fun with puzzles, games, quizzes, and discussion forums.

Free- This website offers educators and students resources on many different topics, all provided by governmental organizations.

PBS Classroom Resources- Designed for middle school students and related to Lewis and Clark,  the plans found here comprise a multidisciplinary unit that uses television and computers as learning tools in subjects areas of science, math, social studies, and language arts. This is a great resource.

PBS TeacherSource- Organized by grade level and subject, this site contains a searchable database of more than 1,000 free lesson plans, teacher's guides and online activities.

Knowledge Source- Extensive Links by subject are provided here.

Ray MacKinnon's Educational Bookmarks - Collection of hotlinks ranging from lesson plans to teacher resources.  Educational links are organized by subject and grade level.

Online Educator - Links arranged by subject, includes a good description of the site and grade level that it is focused upon.

Educast- Searchable database for lessons, organized by subject and grade level. Lots of other stuff including news highlights, professional information, and community involvement.

MPS Educational Educational Bookmark Page- Lots of good links by subject, even cars and driver's education.

Thinkquest- Teacher's Corner-Designed by students, this site has educational links for teachers and students, organized by subjects. Thinkquest Library contains lots of links.

Collaborative Unit Archive- Themes and collaborative units are organized by grade level.  The grade level pages reveal subject areas, each with lots of lessons submitted by other teachers. Submit a good idea here!

Study Web- Search Topic Links by Subject and get a huge amount of outstanding links, complete with a good description of the site.  This site is one of the best.  It is the place to go for information when you need it!!

Smithsonian Education- Social Studies, art, language arts, and science lessons are provided.    Some good tips for integrating the museum and curriculum are given.

Education Place- This commercial Houghton-Mifflin site offers some really good activities and ideas for integrating the Internet with on-going projects.  There are fun kid areas and informative areas for parents.  Among the many great resources is a staff development area with a strong literacy focus.

School News- School News is a weekly publication offering lots of Internet resources of interest to parents, students and teachers.  It is huge in the amount of information available from the searchable databases. It provides access to references, internet texts and books, links by subjects and lots more!!

B.J.Pinchbeck's Homework Helper10 year old BJ's site lists lots of educational links by subject, including some great computer links, search tips and reference links.

CyberBee- Send a postcard, get curriculum ideas, find links by subject,  download clipart or have a Netscape tutorial here.  This is a neat place for information, a great site !!

Infoplease.com- This Site provides almanacs for just about every subject!

Teachers.net- Chat, find educational references, and request, submit, and search for lessons at this site.

Eduzone- This is a full site; it is huge.  Teachers can find educational tips, grant information, educational news, info about technology, chat groups, this day in history, projects and tons of links and lessons by subject. It's one of the best!!

AskEric- This site is a virtual library and searchable database of educational information and topics.

World Lecture Hall- This is a full site containing links to every upper level curricular area. The information is submitted by college researchers, but could be of use to high school students, as well.

K12 On the Internet- This page has alphabetically listed cool sites for students and educators.

Kathy Schrock’s Guide -This site is a cut above the rest.  Nicely organized, teachers will find links to subjects, educational resources, reform issues, projects and teacher tools.

Integrating the Internet- Curriculum resources provides some effective links by subject, including administrative, homepage development and project links.

TeachNet- Lesson plans organized by subjects are available here.  Each plan has an effective meter that displays the intended grade level. Lots of work is available here!

N.W. regional Library- This site contains some really well organized information. Lesson plans, papers and information are arranged in curricular and resource groups. There are extra links for educational support groups.

Teacher's Page of Lesson Plans -Wow!  This site has listed every lesson plan site on the Net. You should be able to find any lesson here.

History/Social Studies Website for K-12 Teachers- Although a little overwhelming, this site has links to almost anything to do with education. It's not limited to only History and Social Studies.  You may need to search around, but its there for sure....somewhere.

Learning in MotionLinks by subject are listed, somewhat limited in selection.

Educational Resources- This site is a little cluttered with links, but offers lots of links organized by subject.

Awesome Library- The Awesome Library organizes your exploration of the World Wide Web with 14,000 carefully reviewed resources, the top 5 percent in education. The Teacher area has great information on Standards and   Assesment by State!
